EPITHALON
Description:
Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon or Epithalone) is a synthetic tetrapeptide — just 4 amino acids, sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly (AEDG) — developed primarily through Russian research, most notably by Vladimir Khavinson at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology starting in the 1980s-90s.
Epithalon belongs to a specialized class of compounds called Khavinson bioregulator peptides, specifically developed for longevity, cellular aging, and pineal gland health.
Benefits:
This is Epithalon’s most famous biological property. Telomeres are the protective caps at the ends of our chromosomes that naturally shorten every time a cell divides. When they get too short, cells stop dividing, become senescent, and trigger systemic inflammation.
The pineal gland degenerates as we age, leading to a drop in nighttime melatonin production and disrupted circadian rhythms.
Because it is a tiny 4-amino-acid chain, Epithalon passes directly into the cell nucleus and binds to chromatin (DNA packaging).
